Acclaimed Miami Musicians Start a New Indie-Tronic DuoGuitarist, Buffalo Brown and drummer, Brave Ulysses have been staples in the Miami live music scene for a better part of the last decade, playing with a wide span of eclectic bands such as Juke and Elastic Bond. They even worked together in the seminal art-rock band Out Of The Anonymous garnering critical acclaim for their mind bending performances. Now they are ready to explore new frontiers. Enter COG NOMEN with their debut album "EVEN THE ODD" The music is part electro-pop with an good dose of psychedelic ambient rock-scapes. Each of their songs constructs a familiar place with spry rhythms, lush textures and engaging hooks without the safety net of plug-ins or pre-recorded sequences favored by laptop musicians. The brunt of EVEN THE ODD was recorded live, facing each other in the studio; Ulysses playing drums and triggering notes electronicaly from percussion pads while singing through a vocoder and Brown making loops on the fly with his sound-shifting guitar magic.
